Your yard can be many things, a playground, a ball field, a family room or a sanctuary. You deserve a safe, odor free and worry free wastewater treatment system that does not cost an arm and a leg.
At Planet Care, we realize that you probably do not want to spend a great deal of money for your sewage treatment system. We believe that homeowners deserve a wastewater treatment system that provides many years of economical and reliable operation with minimal maintenance.
The Eco-Pure Peat Moss Biofilter is based on the years of research conducted by Dr. Joan Brooks, University of Maine. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Brooks dedicated herself to study the use of sphagnum peat moss as a wastewater treatment media. The Eco-Pure Peat Moss Biofilter was co-developed by Dr. Brooks and a system installer in Fort Myers, Florida seeking to "containerize" this research. Planet Care has years of experience and real world test data demonstrating the fine performance of the system.
The tag-line "Simply Natural, Naturally Simple" is more than just a clever marketing slogan, it is the truth about the Eco-Pure Peat Moss Biofilter.
Each Eco-Pure Peat Moss module is capable of treating the wastewater from up to a four bedroom home. The modules can be linked together for larger wastewater flows.
There are no moving parts in the Eco-Pure module. There are no air blowers or compressors used in our system that can cost a lot of money to operate. Naturally occurring organisms thrive in the sphagnum peat moss, digesting the harmful pollutants contained in the wastewater stream. In addition, the system was designed to be completely gravity "powered" meaning that depending on site conditions, no pumps are needed. This provides substantial operational cost savings compared to other systems.
We know that you have other things on your mind and once installed following the simple Installation Guide the Eco-Pure Peat Moss Biofilter will provide years of "out of site, out of mind service". Besides the lowest operational costs available, the maintenance of the system is simple. A factory trained service provider will assure that you will not have think about flushing your toilets.
The system is great for seasonal or intermittent use homes. There are no special or costly procedures for system start-up or shut-down, the treatment begins from the first flush.
As shown on the photos throughout our website, the Eco-Pure Peat Moss Biofilter can be easily blended into any yard.
Ultimately you will have to replace the sphagnum peat moss media. The "lifetime" of the sphagnum peat moss is hard to predict, but used within it's design capabilities and properly maintained, the peat moss can last in excess of 10 years, perhaps much longer. Replacing the peat moss media is a breeze. No heavy equipment or pump trucks are needed. The factory trained service provider simply replaces the peat moss "pillows" and loose peat within the module. This is accomplished with no damage or disturbance to your property.
